Something goes here

Hello world! Today is a big day for Farmeron family because I can finally share couple of really exciting news with all of you.

Farmeron has just secured $1.4 million in a Seed round of funding from an amazing group of investors who share our vision of bringing the modern farmer’s fragmented sources of production data to the cloud. Our round was co-led by Lee Hower of NextView Ventures and Jeff Clavier of SoftTech VC – two super cool guys with a strong dedication to help us polish our sales strategy and expand our vision even more.

We are so happy to have all of our previous investors joining the syndicate in this round – Reshma Sohoni and Carlos Espinal of Seedcamp, Dave McClure and Christine Tsai of 500startups and Robin and Saul Klein of The Accelerator Group. It’s a huge recognition from their behalf to keep on following us in the future!

Also, a stellar group of angels is joining our family, led by one and only Naval Ravikant of AngelList, Evan Nisselson of LDV Capital, Niko Hrdy and Taavet Hinrikus. Farmeron was represented by Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe on the deal.

Lee Hower of NextView Ventures said: “While at first glance an investment in Farmeron may seem unusual for early stage seed investors like ourselves, agriculture & food remains one of the most important global industries. Farmeron presented a unique and untapped opportunity for a cloud-based SaaS solution as over 164 million farms worldwide now have internet access coupled with the increasing demands for agriculture to become more efficient as the world population has crossed over 7 billion people.”

But that’s not the end of it. 🙂 Farmeron has spread to more than 450 farms in 14 countries in the last five months. These early beta customers have allowed us to learn about specifics of agricultural production across different markets, and we have already begun to compile our centralized cloud dataset to mine new knowledge about production practices across different farms and markets. That will help us create even better product in the months to come.

We also recently closed a major distribution partnership with Germany-based Neelsen Agrar GmbH, one of the world’s leading animal husbandry and farm logistics companies that is active in developing and operating dairy super farms. The deal provides Farmeron with additional distribution to farmers in more than 30 countries served by Neelsen Agrar GmbH.

Our team of 8 would like to thank all of our early customers, investors & mentors, friends & supporters, for being there for us during this incredible journey so far. It is so exciting to witness and drive the changes in the face of farming throughout the world – and we have you all to thank for that.
